The AWWA (American Water Works Association) requires our testers to take a Backflow Testers Recertification Class every two years. This class is primarily to review your procedures in testing the Backflow RP (Reduced Pressure Principle), and the DCVA (Double Check Valve Assembly). However, you will not be retested on the PVB (Pressure Vacuum Breaker). This is an 8 hour course, we review in the classroom for 3-4 hours, and then we give the written 35 question test. Afterwards, we offer as much time as needed in the “laboratory” to practice the "hands-on" procedures.

Our instructors will cover any questions you might have out in the field and assist you with any troubleshooting you are experiencing. Our lead instructor is available for questions while you are in the field if necessary.

Your Backflow Certification usually expires by December 15th of the year in which you are supposed to renew it. Since we have recertification classes 4-5 times each year, please check your card not to miss your recertification "cut-off" date.

Please fill out the application at the top of "Schedule of Classes" and  fax or email it to our office. For more information,  see our “CONTACTS INFO” on our Home page and feel free to call our office.
