Advanced Plumbing Education
Backflow Certification Classes offered at the Florida Plumbing and Backflow Association provide additional expertise and specialization for testing backflows. WHO SHOULD ATTEND ? The advanced plumbing apprentice, journeyman, plumbing & fire protection contractors, wastewater professionals, irrigation & landscaping specialists, and maintenance personnel, builders/developers etc. Then every two years you must recertify in order to keep your certification current.The Backflow Testers should always check with each local water districts to find out what other requirements are necessary to test.After you become a Certified Backflow Tester can you attend our second course on the Repair and Maintenance of Backflows. This course focuses on the installation and repairs of all size backflows. It is only 20 hours, but the students in this class receive a much higher understanding of all the different manufacturers of backflow assemblies. Also, the Repair and Maintenance class does not require any type of recertification.
